McConnellsburg, PA (February 19, 2024) — JLG® Industries, Inc., an Oshkosh company [NYSE:OSK] and a leading global manufacturer of mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs) and telehandlers, introduces the ES4046 electric scissor lift to its fleet of machines. This product provides performance capabilities, implements application-driven design and offers support for its operators.
“This model completes the JLG® family of ES Series scissors, and the added value isn’t just with the updated specs,” said Bob Begley, JLG director of product management. “JLG ClearSky Smart Fleet comes standard, and the future-focused design supports facilities’ daily tasks by providing efficiency and enhancing battery life.”
JLG incorporated customer feedback to develop various areas of the product, such as fold-down rails and maneuverability. This model offers over 40% more duty cycles than the previous R4045 electric scissor lift, as well as uses fewer hoses and fittings and a single lift cylinder. The ES4046 is the highest ES Series scissor lift, measuring at 39-ft platform height indoors (up to 28.5 ft outdoors), while simultaneously being the lowest gross-weight scissor in its class.
Application-driven design includes a zero turning radius which provides access to narrow aisles and tight overhead spaces. In 2024, JLG will introduce a lithium-ion battery option to offer fast charging. Operators also can add optional features such as CleanGuard™ leak containment system for working on sensitive flooring, a 900-watt inverter to charge tools and SkySense™ detection system that helps protect workers and property.
ClearSky Smart Fleet comes standard on the ES4046 electric scissor lift to allow for fleet tracking. JLG offers responsive onsite service and technical support from experts and continues to provide training options for operators, supervisors and service technicians.
